score requirement of US Universities
- IELTS score requirement is the English proficiency test of the applicants and IELTS scores have to be submitted by all international applicants and all those applicants whose native is not English.
- The above list is compiled based on the graduate admission requirement of the mentioned Universities. The individual departments may have different IELTS requirements. US University applicants are advised to check the individual degree program requirements of the interested department for actual cut-offs.
- Almost all the US Universities require a minimum of 7 band scale in speaking module of IELTS to be considered for Teaching Assistantships (TA).
- Apart from the requirement of English proficiency, IELTS marks have no impact on the admission decision. The admission decision is based on GRE marks, recommendation letters, SOP and undergraduate grades.
- IELTS is an alternative English proficiency exam for TOEFL. Almost all major US Universities have started accepting IELTS scores for admission to various degree programs.
